I realize that critical insight is anathema to fundamentalism but if they ever want to really delve into why they are losing ground with the rest of us it is because of people like Huckster Sanders who have destroyed the notion of moral superiority that is foundational to these kind of beliefs. Kneeling on Sunday doesn't make up for lying 6 days a week. All it does it point to the dangers of zealous adherence to doctrine in face of facts.
