Political rhetoric is very often bullshit. It's never about truth, it's always about coercion. Case in point is the endless bullshit about 'big government'. It's pretty sad how many people fall for this. Maybe DOGE will help but probably not. Big government is a problem. It's expensive. But Big government doesn't create a wall to hem us in. It's an imperfect defense against what lurks on the other side. We tend to forget that all these annoying departments came about to address real problems - many of which were (and are) caused by greedy assholes like the ones currently in power.
