Freedom is messy. It's chaotic and annoying a whole lot of the time. It's uncomfortable as hell. It challenges our safe-spaces. It requires courage and a willingness to accept some risks. It's also the best of all possible worlds.
The reduced security of freedom isn't just worrying about ISIS when you go to the grocery. It makes all of our values and ideas less secure too. The security of never having to think is a pleasant vacation spot from time to time, but I wouldn't want to live there.
